This confederation is the employers' body which covers the
whole of the industry pipeline from fibre, yarn and fabric producers through to garment
manufacturers. It provides a range of services including: · Assistance with exporting ·
Promotion of British made apparel and textiles abroad · Encourages closer links between
UK manufacturers and retailers through the organisation of conferences and seminars ·
Liasing with research associations and universities regarding new technology · Organising

menswear and accessories, who have a minimum of 40 per cent of annual turnover as exports.

The BCMA represents manufacturers of carpet in the British
Isles. In addition to the usual range of information and consultation services, the
Association, through its Commercial Policy Committee, provides help for first time
exhibitors overseas. The Association also participates in the European Carpet Association,
so that it can have the opportunity to address an increasing number of international
issues. Overall it aims to provide: · Support for trade fairs · Industry training ·
