Steps of the Scanning Process
Very simply, for the NX16 a structured light pattern is projected onto the subject and a series of images are captured, whilst the KX16 uses IR depth sensors (Kinect) to capture the images.
These images are then converted to thousands of data points which correspond to the shape of the subject, yielding a raw image called “3D Point Cloud”, (BIN file).Further processing produces a more refined Body Model (RBD file) from which accurate measurements can then be extracted.

Scans can also be converted to .obj ans .wrl files for opeining with other applications
